Organizing your work

How projects, workspaces, and regions fit together across the dashboard.

Everything you create on NevTan — an app, a database, a GPU instance — lives inside a project, and every project lives inside a workspace.

Projects

A project is the unit you deploy, configure, redeploy, and delete. Each project has its own settings, logs, domain, and billing — switching between them from the sidebar is how you move between the different things you've built.

Workspaces

The workspace switcher in the sidebar scopes what you see to a single workspace at a time — your personal default workspace, or a shared workspace you belong to as part of a team. Resources in one workspace are not visible from another.

A solo builder can usually stay in their personal workspace indefinitely — every project, database, and GPU instance they create lands in the same place, and the sidebar never needs to distinguish between "mine" and "someone else's." A team account looks different: a shared workspace holds the projects the whole team works on, so switching into it shows only those resources, with membership and roles managed at the team level rather than per project. The same person can belong to their own personal workspace and several team workspaces at once, switching between them without any of the projects bleeding into each other.

Regions

When you create a project, database, or GPU instance, you'll be asked to pick a region. NevTan suggests a sensible default for your account, but picking a region close to your users (for apps and databases) or close to your GPU workload keeps latency down — cross-region resources still work, they're just a little slower to reach.

Note
See Regions & availability for how region choice affects GPU hardware availability specifically.
